The U16 national team that has travelled to Kamloops British Columbia had a warm reception from their hosts and also got off to a great start during their exhibition game against the Kamloops Jr. Blazers.

The story goes all the way back to December 26th when the 10 hockey bags were lost at the airport in London, so almost half the team was without their equipment as they were preparing for the Kamloops International Bantam Ice Hockey Tournament.

The local team was able to help out with the missing equipment and the Hungary national team was ready to take on the Tier II Kamloops Jr. Blazers.

Hungary won the exhibition game with easy by the score of 16-1, the goal scoreres were László Horváth, Bence Dézsi, Kristóf Rácz, Patrik Kemény, Rácz, Balázs Sábián, Márk Almási, Rácz, Bence Páterka, Sebestyén Kovács, Kovács, András Tóth, Marcell Révész, Dézsi, Nátán Vertes and Almási.

From here on out the games will be much harder as the Hungarians will be taking on Tier 1 teams, they will have a second exhibition game against a team from the other group in the tournament, Balgonie Prairie Storm.

The tournament itself starts on December 30th and runs through the 4th, this is one of the elite bantam tournaments in the world, where there will be about 2000 people in attendance per game, with a number of scouts in attendance as well.
