
The Hungarian U16 national team entered their final game of the Kamloops International Bantam Ice Hockey Tournament group stage with an undefeated record and hope to continue their hot streak.
Hungary-Chilliwack Bruins 5-2
The Bruins play in the same league, the PCBHL, as the Semiahmo Ravens who Hungary had beaten already in the group stage. Coach Glen Williamson gave Máté Sági the start in net, Williamson has been rotating his goalies all tournament. Hungary opened a 2-0 lead after the first twenty minutes as both András Tóth and Balázs Sábián found the back of the net. Chilliwack came back in the second period with two straight goals to tie the game up, however just about the midway point of the game Márk Almási put Hungary up 3-2. In the third period Sebestyén Kovács put Hungary up by two and in the last minute Ádám Falus scored an empty net goal to give Hungary their closest win of the tournament.
