The U16B squad that if playing in Poprád Slovakia faced another two hard teams they played the Slovak U15 team and the Austrian U16 national teams.
Slovakia-Hungary 3-1
The two teams played a balanced first period but Slovakia was able to capitalize on their chances as they took a two goal lead into the first intermission. In the second period Slovakia opened up a three goal lead after they scored on a two on one. In the third period Hungary got on the scoreboard with a goal by Alex Kovács to come up short by the score of 3-1 to the host team.
Austria-Hungary 4-1
The second game of the day had a similar script to the earlier game with Márton Farkas scoring the only Hungary goal off of a pass by Balázs Fehérgyarmati.
On the third day of the tournament Hungary will be facing the U16 team of Slovan Bratislava.
