U17 opens Training Camp

Monday and Tuesday the best of the 1999 age group are in preseason national team training camp, which will be followed by two matches in Slovakia. Next week the U18 and U20 teams will be in camp.

The U17 national team hit the ice with full steam as they were on the ice at 8 AM in the Tüskesátor which was followed by an off ice session. In the afternoon the team was back on the ice. Glen Williamson will make his cuts for the final traveling roster afternoon.

The squad will have a practice Wednesday morning with the team making a midday trip to Eperjes with a game against the Presov U18 Wednesday night. On Thursday they will face the U20 team of HC Presov at 11 AM.

The U17 squad can be found here. On Monday the 1998 age group will be in camp in the Tüskesátor. After a two day training camp they will be traveling to Poland for the Olympic Futures Tournament where they will face the U18 of Austria, U16 of Slovakia and the U18 of the home nation.

Later next week the U20 national team will have their season opening training camp under the direction of Rich Chernomaz who has called in a 47 man roster. This will be cut down to 25+2 before they host Poland three times in two days in Újpest. At 9:40 and 17:40 on August 26th and 9:40 on the 27th.
