The coaching staff had a number of hard decisions as they cut the roster down to the two final rosters. Members of both coaching staffs talked about what they expect from their respective teams.
Szabolcs Fodor: We trimmed the roster for two full squads, which means it is 44 players, this also means that we have a lot of good players that we were able to have two full rosters that are this good. We also have a number of injuries and there is a handful of players that are playing up. There were some hard decisions that had to be made when coming up with the final rosters. The overall pool of players has developed a lot in the last couple of years and there are more and more players that hit the level of play. The most important thing is that everyone play to their highest level and and we can play with in our systems and tactics and if they do this we will have some good results.
András Horváth: We have about eight months until the world championships and we have moved up a level and we know from two years ago how strong the play is there. We think it is a better idea to see as many players in action to be able to get the best 22 final players, our goal is to stay in this group for next season as well. We have a number of players that are playing abroad and a number of player playing up.
