U18: Both teams pick up points

Ukraine-Hungary 4-3 OT
The ‘B’ team played a tight game against Ukraine at the 4 Nations tournament in Poland coach András Horváth gave Boldizsár Győri the start. Ukraine took a 1-0 lead after the first period. Ukraine doubled their lead in the early minutes of the second period. In the closing minutes of the middle period Hungary tied the game up on two quick goals by Richárd Horváth and Zsolt Szalma. Ukraine took back the lead in third period but minutes later Hungary again, this time off of the stick of Márk Vas. With the game tied up at 3-3 at the end of regulation the game went into overtime where a power play goal gave the win to Ukraine.


Hungary-Slovenia 3-1
The ‘A’ U18 team faced the host country Slovenia in the final game of the four nations tournament on Saturday, Glen Williamson gave Dávid Márk Kovács the start in net. Tamás Varga and Attila Csíki scored eleven seconds apart in the first period to put Hungary up 2-0. The second period brought a scoreless twenty minutes where Williamson switched goalies when Kristóf Nagy came in for Kovács. With just about ten minutes left in the game Slovenia scored their first goal of the game to cut their deficit in half. Later in the period Hungary went back up by two goals when Ákos Szigeti scored a shorthanded goal off of a pass by Dávid Szabó.
