The under 18 national team came back from their four team tournament satisfied with their outcome. "We played three strong teams teams that were very quick," said assistant coach Csaba Jánosi when asked about the teams that they faced.

The first team that the U18s faced was Slovenia in the 5-4 win Vilmos Galló scored a hatrick, and Dávid Jászai and Olivér Herner also joined Galló in lighting the lamp.

In their second game the Hungarians took on the Italian squad in a low scoring game in which the opponents took a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute. Goalie Olivér Daoda played perfect the rest of the way as Márk Egyed and Olivér Egyed scored the two goals.

The third match was against the host team of Austria, Hungary jumped out to an early 1-0 lead thanks to Erik Keresztury. Austria answered back later in the period, and scored the game winner early in the third period.

"Our goal for the weekend was to get a better feel to where everyone is and to see how the implemented systems are working against live competition," said Jánosi. "A number of players improved since the last time we played together. One that was great to see was the team unity that developed during the time that we were together."
