The Hungarian U18 national team will be playing two exhibition games in preparation for the U18 Division 1/A World Championships in Debrecen. On Thursday night played a good match against Denmark.

Glen Williamson and his staff decided to give two goalies playing time as Boldizsár Győri and Gergely Bors played a half each. With goalies gave up a goal, as Denmark scored in the first period when Nikolaj Krag put one past Győri to make it 1-0. In the third period  Bors gave up a goal on a shot from Morten Jensen.

Both teams can be happy with their penalty kill units as no power play goals were scored.

Hungary will be back on the ice Friday afternoon to face Ukraine, the final roster will be set after the game.

Glen Williamson-”Its the first exhibition game, and we needed to see where our game was, if you want to fight you have to get into the fight. Our guys got a taste of the level. I thought we adjusted well in the second period, I think we just ran out of mental energy tonight. A lot of guys stepped up and played well at time, now we need to play well for the length of a game.”

Boldizsár Győri- “It felt nice to play in front of familiar faces but the main thing was that I felt comfortable and I was able to stop the shots of a quality team like Denmark, it gave me confidence to face a team like this.”
