The Hungarian U18 national team will be playing a 4 Nations tournament during the last week of 2014, head coach Glen Williamson and his team will be facing the U18 team from Ukraine as well the club team Slovan Bratislava.
Originally the last opponent was supposed to be the U18 team of Belarus but because of visa problems they had to drop out, replacing them will be a second Hungarian team. Now instead of making cuts for a final roster the coaching staff will be splitting the team into two teams, the red and the white.
After last years successful U18 world championships in Fehérvár, Glen Williamson and his two assistants Bence Svasznek and Rastislav Ondrejcik are back for another run.
Defencemen Zsombor Garát and Bence Stipsicz were part of the U20 national team who took part in the World Championships in Dunaújváros earlier this month are eligible for the U18 as is Zsombor Kiss who missed the world championships because of an injury he picked up in training camp the week before.
“We will be expecting tough games against tough teams, our goals are to win as many games as we can and gain experience against teams that our on the level of the upcoming world championship teams.” Bence Stipsicz
