France-Hungary 9-5
The Hungarian ‘A’ team hopped to pick up a win during their second game of the tournament in Slovenia against France. Glen Williamson gave Kristóf Nagy the start in net for the game. France went up 1-0 but Benedek Madacsi tied the game up on a power play goal. Later in the period Dávid Szabó picked up a five minute major and France took advantage of it when they scored three before the period was out to go up 4-1. The French team went up 5-1 on a shootout goal before Bruno Kreisz brought Hungary back within three. Ákos Nagy scored a power play goal to make it 5-3 but a late French goal in the period made it 6-3 after two periods. The scoring continued in the third period as France scored in the first minute of play but Hungary quickly brought two back when Nándor Fejes and Dávid Sebestyén both scored. France answered back with two more of their own to make the final 9-5.
Austria-Hungary 9-0
The ‘B’ team took on Austria in Poland and they ran into a hard loss as they were not able to score and Austria put 9 past the two Hungarian goalies. Boldizsár Győri started the first half of the game with Martin Szeles coming in at the midway point of the game. the neighbors to the west scored three in the first, four in the second and two in the final twenty minutes.
