U18 Women Must win on Saturday

After starting the tournament with three straight losses Hungary faced Germany a team that they had a chance to beat.

Germany-Hungary 7-1

Norbert Buzás gave Yumi Maruyama the start after she was the backup against Japan. Germany took a 1-0 lead after a goal by Clauberg, Hungary was able to keep in close even though Germany doubled the score late in the period. For the second period Germany decided to switch goalies for the rest of the game. In the early part of the middle period Germany socred twice in less than a minute to go up 4-0. The goals kept on coming as they scored twice more before the middle of the game. After being down 6-0 Buzás pulled Maruyama for Vanessa Horváth. Hungary scored their first goal of the tournament on the power play when Orsi Váradi scored from the slot. Later in the period Germany scored one last goal to make it 7-1.
