U18 Women’s defeat Poland

With a 4-2 win over Poland, Hungary captured the bronze medal of the four nations tournament in Debrecen.

Vanessa Horváth got the start in net the bronze medal game. The two teams played a balanced game in the first period. The first period closed without a goal being scored, in the second period Hungary kept the Polish goal under constant pressure and in the 27th minute Noémi Puskás scored the first goal of the game. At the midway point of the game Dominika Horváth scored the second Hungary goal.

In the third period Hungary went up 3-0 when Lili Fodor sprang Petra Pavuk who skated in for the goal. Minutes later Poland made it a two goal game again but Zora Gottlibet put Hungary back up by three. In the last minute of play Poland scored to set the final at 4-2.
