Rich Cheromaz and his coaching have a concluded a two day training camp with the U20 national team where the main goal was to work on understanding the tactics and systems that they will be running.

“We did a lot of walk throughs we wanted guys to understand the systems and the details to the system, we felt it was a productive two days of practices, we asked them not to go off page but to stick to the plan”

The last on ice session was an inter squad scrimmage, the reds beat the whites but the score did not matter at all, what was more important was what the guys picked up.

“I liked the flow of the game this afternoon, there was important things that needed to be executed in all three thirds of the ice. We asked them to work hard and we saw a lot of good today.”

The U20 national team have a training camp in October and then a tournament in France in November, with the World Championships in December. This time all the players playing abroad were not called in but in November they will be in camp except for Csanád Erdély.

“In the next camp and the one in November we will start to look at line combinations, there will be some surprises come November is if everyone competes until the end. In October we will have five full lines and three goalies in camp and in November we will have all the players except for Csanád Erdély who can't come because of club commitments. By December we the coaching staff would like to know what to expect from the players, the tournament in NOvember is perfect for this
