Rich Chernomaz and his coaching staff have put the U20 national team through two practices on Tuesday, the junior team head coach gave icehockey.hu a midway point update.
The roster was split into two teams, who have been doing everything separately, they are in separate locker rooms, having separate on ice practices and meetings. After the three practices the two day camp will conclude with a scrimmage between the two sides.
This is what Rich Chernomaz had to say after the first day: “This camp is more about what we need to teach, not for the guys that will be here at the end but the ones that will be fighting for the last roster spots. They need to understand the concepts and the systems to make them more effective when we play exhibition games and scrimmages. The philosophies behind these three camps was to do a lot of walk throughs and system work during today's and tomorrow's morning practice and applying it for tomorrow scrimmage.”
