Rich Chernomaz and the the U20 national team picked up their second win in two nights at the Division 2/A World Championships against the Netherlands.
After an easy win against Korea, Rich Chernomaz gave Gergely Arany the day off and Bence Kiss started his first game of the tournament. Chernomaz also paired the Stipsicz and Jászai with the top scoring line and the second defensive pairing today was Szaller and Vokla, the rest of the lines stayed the same. The Dutch team jumped out to an early scoring in the minute of play when Jord Smit skated in on a breakaway for the goal. Just past the halfway point of the first period Netherlands doubled their lead when Jordy Verkiel set up Guus Van Nes for the goal. Hungary got on the scoreboard with an even strength goal as team captain Csanád Erdély put the puck past the Dutch goalie, with Jászai getting the assist. In the opening minutes of the second period Smit scored his second goal of the game as Holland went up 3-1, Chernomaz decided to switch goalies at this point as Arany replaced Kiss in net. The switch looked to work as Donát Szita scored 27 seconds later to make it a one goal game again and just over a minute after that István Terbócs tied the game up at 3-3 off of a pass by Zsombor Kiss. The action continued on as the Dutch went up by goal when Jasper Nordemann scored a power play goal, Terbócs game back with a Hungarian power play goal to make it 4-4 when he skated through the Dutch zone. Hungary took their first lead of the game off of a goal by Vilmos Galló, but 59 seconds later Netherlands tied it up at 5-5. Hungary quickly opened up a two goal lead in the the third period Bödök scored in the first minute of play and a short while later Erdély scored an unassisted goal. Late in the third period Hungary managed to kill a 5-3 and to hold on to the 7-5 win. István Terbócs was named the Hungarian player of the game.

Coaches' corner
Rich Chernomaz: We had the better team today, we created more scoring chances compared to our opponent. Being down a couple of goals and winning by two goals always takes a lot of energy compared to if you have the lead from the start. The goalie change gave us a spark and we had calmed down by the third period. The third period was our best period, at 5-5 our team showed some real character, the key to the win was our penalty kill in the the third period.
View from the ice
István Terbócs: We played a real high scoring game against Holland, we were not really skating that well at the beginning and we gave them more space on the ice than we should have and we paid the price as we were down 2-0. Luckily we got one back at the end of the period, the second period was similar as we started slow but got back into it by the end. We got back to the game plan in the third period and ended up winning by two goals.
