The Hungarian national team had their first practice in Russia which also happened to be the last one before the start of the word championships. Rich Chernomaz and the staff put the team through a 60 minute session where they worked on shaking the rust out of the legs.
Next to the main arena is the practice rink where the Hungarian national team had their practice in Russia, but before hand they had the official team photo as well. After the practice the team was swarmed by the press, television, radio and written, as this is the norm at the A-Pool world championships. The popular interviewees were Frank Banham, the Vas brothers and Tamás Sille who basically held a press conference on his own with both the Czech and Slovak media.
This lasted less than a quarter hour after which the team had a meeting and headed back to the hotel.

István Mestyán: "We had to shake the rust we picked up in our legs yesterday as we travelled. We will be going at 1000% tomorrow, everyone is ready for tomorrow."
Krisztián Nagy: "I have no completes about the facilities and the ice. I think we are ready for the game and the tournament. The ice quality was excellent on the practice rink so I can only image what it will be like to play on the game ice surface."
Bence Szirányi: "It felt great to get into the lock room, and I had chills up and down my back. The new practice jerseys look great, we have arrived into different world. Now we have a chance to prove what we can do at this level. Now we will start to prepare for the first game and we will concentrate on doing something historical."
