"We were a bit flat today"

After taking the two games against Austria over the weekend Hungary was shutout against Slovenia in a game were they looked somewhat flat compared to the opponent.

István Bartalis: It felt great to play after a long time off, I tried to do my best I could tell that something was off. I had practiced with Csányi and Sárpátki and we had worked well on the ice.

Frank Banham: I felt better than I thought I would be a lot more tired in the legs, the timing was off but it was fine. Sebők is a good skater and it is always fun to play with a player like that. I have played with Kovács in the past and we are familiar with each other.

Vilmos Galló: Both teams had about the same amount of chances, we were not able to score and they did I think might have been the difference between the two teams. I think we were tired because of the practices that we had been through, we made some defencive mistakes but there were a lot of positives in the game.

Rich Chernomaz: Slovenia was a lot sharper compared to us with regards to teh way we moved the puck. Our defensmen had some trouble moving the puck under pressuer. Compared to teh games against Austria we were hesitant in moving the puck, they scored their goals off of defensive mistakes.

Nik Zupancic: It has been hard to find an opponent that plays this aggressive as Hungary does. We were able to find a lot of good things and we still have some time before our world championships.

Ádám Vay: I am satisfied with today's game but also not at the same time not since we didn't win, the way I look at it the main goal is to win. I don't know what chances I have of making the cut, we have some really good goalies and it's not that I’m going against them but working together with them and pushing them to making them better.
