We were not focused enough

The Hungarian team came up on the short side of a 5-1 loss to the United States, there were portions of the game that the team could build on but also there mistakes that they need to avoid against Belarus if they want to stay in.

Ádám Vay: This was a different game from the one against Finland and we knew he had to prepare differently, they were a very good team and I think I got tired much sooner than against Finland.

Csaba Kovács: The day off was good for us, but we know we could  have played better today, we have an important two games coming up where anything can happen and we won't give up. We still have some in us and if we concentrate we can play even better. We know we need to raise the level of the game if we want to stay in.

Bence Stipsicz: All this games have had the same pace, this game was similar to the one against Canada as they play a similar style and also skate very well. We were not focused we didn't concentratie the way we should have, we were throwing away pucks, we were not able to bring out the puck. If we councentraine the outcome might have been different we need to be focused to if we want to win tomorrow.

János Vas: They played great and overall we defended well, however we had some problems in the offensive end. There were some differences between us and them and they regularly play at a high level, we can not be throw the puck away as we have been doing.

Kevin Wehrs: It was a tough game, they are fast, it was fun to play against them but it was a hard game to play.

István Sofron: We didn't play as well against Canada as against Finland, we could keep up with them for 30 minutes, but we were tired. The U.S. is a very good team and we should be happy but we know we could have played better against them. It is nice that I have scored the first goal ever in the U.S. but it would have been nice to win.

Rich Chernomaz: We deserved to lose by this much, we lost to Finland 3-0 in our last game but we played better and defence was much more compact, our offence was not effective at all. We gave up too much space and we also were off on some of our line changes as well. They Vay apart and that is unfair on him. I can take the loss because we played one of teh top teams in the world but we still need to be able to concentrate.

John Hynes: We had to work hard for this win, we knew that Hungary was going to battle, they have a well built tactical system. They played a physical style in the first period and we knew that we had to play our game if we wanted to win. We ended up doing that and in the end that is why we won.
