"We were still on the bus for the 1st period"

2016.04.16. 20:59 |

The game started a bit slow for Hungary but they got stronger as the game went on. In the end they ended up winning 3-1 to extend their winning streak against Austria to four game.

Miklós Rajna: They had a stronger team than yesterday and they were moving every well at the start of the game. We reacted very well to this and this was the key to today’s game.

Bence Stipsicz: We messed up the switch the Austrian player was coming with momentum and was able to blow by me as I was standing still. It was good to play with both Varga and also with Pozsgai it was nothing big.

Vilmós Galló: We started the game a bit slow and we were still on the bus at the start of the game luckily Miki played great to keep us in the game.  I am not familiar with my line mates from today or from yesterday but it was great playing with either player.

Bence Bálizs: I need to get used to this as well coming in halfway through the game, this is something that most goalies are not used to, we played well and we got the win.

Rich Chernomaz: We had younger line up than we did last night and this was evident during the first period and our defensemen were having troubling closing up to our forwards that were fore checking. Our power play still needs some work and we could have gone up on the 5 on 3.

Austrian coach Daniel Ratushny: It was a close game, we had the go ahead goal, and I think both teams played well. We made a mistakes in our end and they took advantage of it, but this is hockey, I think we took a step ahead today, and we are taking little steps.
