Last season in the MOL League there were two things that was expected to happen week in and week out, UTE would lose and anything else could happen. This season looks to be the same except that Újpest is right in the middle of the show. DAB.Docler has a four point lead on Miskolc and Nové Zámky, and UTE has a point point lead over their rivals Ferencváros for the last playoff spot. There looks to be a number exciting games to go out and see in person this week.
After picking up all six points last week against two very strong teams FTC will travel to their crosstown rivals for a game that will have a playoff atmosphere. Ferencváros this past week has added Ákos Kiss from Dunaújváros, Ákos will be facing his brother Dániel for the first time in a MOL League match, who just weeks ago signed with Újpest. In the second game of the week Ákos will be already facing his former team as DAB will be traveling up the river to Budapest. The management in Dunaújváros is not happy with the way the league leaders have been playing lately, the team will be playing a crucial stretch of games, if they lose their only match of the week they could be sitting as low as third place before the week is out.
Újpest has been having a turnaround season compared to the past couple of years but there is one team they have not been able to compete against and that is Miskolc, who visits to UTE this week. Miskolc is 3 and 0 against UTE and have out scored them 22-1, two wins could have them sitting in first place before the week is out. Miskolc will be traveling to Debrecen for Friday night game, Miskolc has won both their games against DHK but they will be without forward Tyler Metcalfe who is still recovering from a hand injury.
Nové Zámky will be travelling to Transylvania for the second time this season, last time they took home two wins. Brasov is always a tough team but they will be without Juha Hietamaki who as of right now is suspended for four games, and Róbert Péter who is still out with an injury. Thier match against Csíkszereda could be a real exciting one since HSC will be playing with interim coach Sándor Gál and new imports Pasi Salonen and Shane Heffernan, this is all on top of Csíkszereda not being the greatest place for visiting teams.
The Tuesday night game will be the Transylvanian derby as HSC will be traveling south to Brasov, this matchup is always an exciting environment
