Week 12 Preview

2014.12.05. 12:10 |

Dunaújváros plans to hold on to first place, Ferencváros to climb up to a playoff spot and Csíkszereda to start the climb out of the basement. This week the MOL League fans will be treated to a plethora of games as there will be 12 matches in total, every team will be hitting the ice three times with everyone being in action on Friday.

League leaders Dunaújváros will be facing UTE at home, the last two times the teams faced off DAB.Docler won but it was not easy, later in the week they will have two road games at Debrecen who will have star forward Balázs Ladányi back from injury and Nové Zámky squad that could be under a lot of pressure by the time the end of the week comes around. DAB.Docler has brought in forward Ville Eskelinen who spent seven season in the Mestis in Finland.

Miskolc who has been in great form lately will be playing host to the only team they have struggled against, Ferencváros, Miskolc has yet to lose in regulation on home ice this season. They will be playing without Jesse Dudas who has been suspended for three games. On Saturday Csíkszereda will be visiting who will be in town with a new goalie in Martins Raitmus who was signed when Gellért Ruczuj went down with an injury. Miskolc could be the freshest team by the time teams play their last games of the week since they are at home all week and will not be playing on back to back nights.

Nové Zámky with a loss to Brasov would be tied for third place and could be in real trouble if they slip up against UTE on Sunday. Zámky went out and brought in a line worth of forwards, with a familiar face Erik Weissmann being one of them. Brasov will be playing without Juha Hietamaki as he is sitting out his last two games from his four game suspension. With two games in Budapest against UTE and FTC, Brasov could make a series run at third place in the league.

As the season continues on it is becoming clearer that Debrecen is a legit playoff contender, they have been playing most of the season with two lines as they had a number of players injured. Now that these players coming back DHK is team that no one wants to play. Balázs Ladányi will be back to give a tremendous boost in the scoring area. They should beat Csíkszereda who is at the bottom of the table but there following two games will be against the two hottest teams in the league DAB.Docler and Miskolc.
