Miskolc-UTE 5-0

Just 18 seconds into the game Miskolc was already up 1-0 from a Patrik Popovics goal. Vladimir Dubek made it 2-0 on a power play goal, Adrián Tóth and Jordan Knox each scored a goal to give the home team a commanding 4-0 lead after the first twenty minutes. Újpest switched goalies as the teams game out for the second period, József Pleszkán was benched in favor of Márk Hajek. At the 37:36 mark of the game Popovics set up Tóth for the fifth Miskolc goal.

Nové Zámky-Brasov 0-5 (forfeit)

Because Nové Zámky only dressed one goalie instead of the required two they have forfeited the match and Brasov was credited with a 5-0 win and therefore received the three points.

FTC-Csíkszereda 3-4 SO

Veteran Gábor Kiss and László Nagy combined for the opening goal with Nagy finding the back of the net. The score remained 1-0 until 22:58 when Denis Shvidki scored to tie the game at 1-1. Less than two minutes later Ede Mihály made a pass to Vaclav Novak who put the puck past Kristián Budai. Ferencváros took back the lead as they scored two PPGs in a span of forty seconds with Kiss getting the first with Antti Ojanen registering the second. Before the period was through Mike Danton made it 3-3, after a scoreless third period and overtime Shvidki scored the winning shot in the shootout to give Csíkszereda two out of the three points.

Nové Zámky-Miskolc 1-4

Roland Hajós scored in the first minute of play to give Miskolc the early 1-0 lead, less than a minute later Juraj Faith made it 2-0. The scored stayed like that until there was under four minutes left in the game when Erik Weissmann scored a powerplay goal to get Nové Zámky back into the game. Miskolc shut the door on the come back as Adrián Tóth found the back of the net on a short hander and Tyler Metcalfe scored in the last 10 seconds to make it 4-1.

UTE-DAB 1-5

After a scoreless first period a Balázs Somogyi shot found the back of the net in the early part of the second period, a bit later Peter Huba doubled the lead for the visitors. The Virág brothers set up David Coleman who redirected a pass behind Tamás Kiss to get UTE on the scoreboard as well.

“We crossed the blue line and I gave the puck back to Csaba Virág who passed it to Tamás Virág, the puck ended up in the corner where Csaba picked it up and threw it in front of the net where I was open,” said Coleman.

DAB made it a two goal lead again when Cody Crichton gave the puck away in front of his own net and Andy Contois picked it up and set up Attila Pavuk for the goal. DAB scored two more in the third period as Viktor Papp and Robert Szabados also put the puck in the cage.

Brasov-Csíkszereda 2-3

There was another tight game between the two rivals, Jozef Hruby set up Vacláv Novák for the opening goal of the game. The game stayed 1-0 in favor of the home team for the rest of the first period and the first half of the second period when Martin Saluga scored to make it even at one. Csíkszereda responded back twenty two seconds later on a Marek Curilla goal. In the third period the team swapped goals again with Kevin Wehrs and Ervin Moldován scoring for their respective teams and ending the game in a 3-2 road victory for Csíkszereda.

Csíkszereda-FTC 4-3 SO

The home team was up already 1-0 before the first minute of the game had even been played as Vacláv Novák set up Ede Mihály. A short time later Tamás Lencsés scored for Ferencváros to make it 1-1 and Dusán Sijka right before the end of the period. In the second period Jere Ölander made it 3-1 with Viktor Sjödin registering the assist. Marek Curilla scored a goal in the second period to get Csíkszereda back in the game and Jozef Hruby scored in the third to pull the team even at 3-3. After a scoreless overtime Denis Shvidki had the winning shootout goal just like last week when the teams met up.

UTE-Nové Zámky 1-8

The first goal of the game was not scored until the 19:45 mark of the opening period when Lubomir Hurtaj found the back of the net. Erik Maklári scored in the early part of the second period to pull UTE even at 1-1 but just about four minutes later Erik Weissmann made a pass to Tomas Fiala who put the puck behind UTE keeper Márk Hajek. Nové Zámky really piled it on as Vladimir Kames and Weissmann both scored before the period was out as UTE pulled Hajek in favor of József Pleszkán. In the third period Fiala, Ondrej Stefanka, Martin Frolik and Patrick Korytko also scored a goal in setting the final at 8-1.

DAB-Miskolc 4-3

The visiting Miskolc scored first as Tyler Metcalfe assisted on Balázs Láda’s goal at 4:32. At 5:47 DAB tied it up when Attila Pavuk put the puck past Dávid Duschek. In the last minute of the first period Dávid Szappanos scored to take a lead into the first intermission. DAB scored two goals in the second period as Nikandrosz Galanisz and Szappanos both found the back of the cage. The third period was all Miskolc with Curtis de Bruyn making it a two goal game and Levente Szilágyi setting it at 4-3 who put a rebound in for the goal.

“Dezső Roczanov won the face-off and Attila Rafaj took a shot on net which was blocked, I was quicker to the puck then the defender and put it into the empty net,” said Szilágyi after the game
