Nové Zámky-DAB 3-4

With Peter Halmes filling in as the interim coach it only took Nové Zámky fifteen seconds and with a Marek Dubec goal the home team was up 1-0. The score remained the same for the rest of the first period.

In the early part of the second period Martin Frolik doubled the lead for his team, at the halfway point of the game DAB got a goal back from the stick of Zsolt Azari. Four minutes and two seconds later the game was even at 2-2, this time Imre Peterdi scoring Dunaújváros’ goal. With a second remaining in the second period DAB scored their third unanswered goal to take a one goal lead into the second intermission.

Viktor Papp scored the fourth DAB goal of the night in the third period, Erik Weissmann set up Lubomir Hurtaj for the short handed goal to set the final score.

UTE-Miskolc 2-4

At the midway point of the first period Levente Szilágyi put Miskolc up 1-0, Márk Miskolczi took a pass from Juraj Faith and put it on net, the puck made it through traffic but stopped on the goal line where Szilágyi slipped it in.

“The puck was just sitting on the goal line and I put it into the open cage,” said Szilágyi.

UTE tied it up in the first minute of the second period when Richárd Reitter beat Dávid Gyenes for the goal. A Tyler Metcalfe goal put Miskolc back up top, Metcalfe took a wrist shot that beat József Pleszkán glove side, in the third period Metcalfe scored again.

“Jordan Knox made a nice sauce pass through the crease for me to finish in tight,” Metcalfe said.

Faith put the game out of hand for UTE with a goal, Ádám Fekti scored a goal in the last minute to make it 4-2.

Brasov-FTC 1-3

Late in the first period Tivadar Petres made it 1-0 for the home team, in the second period Ferencváros scored two goals to take the lead as Artyom Vaszjunyin setup Antti Ojanen for the first one and Viktor Sjödin made it a two goal lead.

In the last minute of play Brasov pulled their goalie Patrik Polc, to try to tie it up but Sjödin just scored his second goal of the game in the empty net.

Csíkszereda-Brasov 3-4

The two Transylvanian teams played a scoreless first period, in the second period Attila Góga opened up the scoring by taking a pass from Vacláv Novák and scoring a goal for Csíkszereda. Denis Shvidki made it 2-0 on an unassisted goal.

At the halfway point of the game Kevin Wehrs set up Petres for the PPG. Recently acquired Csanád Fodor scored his first goal for Brasov that tied the game on a redirection from a Csaba Nagy shot.

The excitement continued into the third period when this time Nagy and Fodor switched roles as Nagy scored the goal off of a Fodor assist. A Novak shorthanded goal made it 3-3, late in the game with Brasov on the PP defenseman Juha Hietamäki scored a one time which ended up being the winner.

“Gliga made a nice cross ice pass that I was able to one time into the net, this was three important points for us,” said Hietamäki.

UTE-DAB 1-6

Thing were the usual in Újpest as they played host to DAB.

After the first period DAB had 1-0 lead with Imre Peterdi scoring the only goal of the period.

The second period brought more scoring as DAB scored three equal strength goals. Robert Szabados made it 2-0 and Peterdi’s second goal of the game put the visitors up by three with Henrich Jabornik scoring the last one of the period.

The third period started like the second one ended, with a Jabornik goal, Zsolt Azari scored the last DAB goal. With just over ten minutes left in the game UTE managed to end Janis Kalnins’ shutout when Cody Crichton setup Roscoe Sweeney for the goal

Csíkszereda-Miskolc 3-1

It only took 17 seconds but Miskolc was already up 1-0 on a Tyler Metcalfe goal, they head the lead until the last minute of the period as Marek Curilla made it 1-0. Tamás Biró scored in the second period to put up Csíkszereda 2-1. In the third period Miskolc pulled their goalie Dávid Gyenes but a Tihamér Becze shot found the back of the empty net.
