Dab.Docler-Csíkszereda 3-0

Down in Dunaújváros a Slovak goalie battle was taking place. Csíkszereda was caught with having too many men on the ice and Attila Pavuk made them pay when he beat Stanislav Kozuch for the 1-0. Tamás Gröschl setup Zsolt Azari less than a minute later to double the home side's lead. Imre Peterdi made it 3-0 late in the third period, DAB road the excellent goaltending by Peter Sevela for the shutout. Head coach Stephan Lundh was satisfied with his team's play and praised Sevela in his post match statement.

Tyler Metcalfe opened up the scoring for the visiting club when he took a pass from Mátyás Vojtkó and was able to beat Márk Hajek for the go ahead goal. Roscoe Sweeney brought UTE back even at one with a powerplay goal, his first of the campaign in the purple and white. Juraj Faith made it 2-1. The score stayed as teams started the last period. Márk Miskolczi's pass was taken by Patrik Popovics and placed in the cage behind Hajek as Miskolc went up by two. UTE went on a late PP and pulled their keeper for the extra attacker in an effort to pull with in one. Jordan Knox ended up scoring the empty netter.

The home team looked to stay within striking distance of the lead pack in the standings. Tamás Lencsés' PPG opened the scoring for the night. Tivadar Petres scored for the visitors to make it 1-1, this would prove to be the lone visiting goal of the night. The second period belonged to the Finns as Jere Ölander scored on a PP at 21:03 and Antti Ojanen also chipped in at 26:07. Brasov pulled their keeper for the extra attacker late in the match but Dusan Sijka scored the easy goal.

Csíkszereda-UTE 3-2

For the amount of penalties that were dished out in this game it was surprisingly low scoring match. Újpest traveled to Transylvania hungry for their first win of the season. Szabolcs Szőcs scored late in the first period to give the home team the lead. Ádám Fekti found the back of the cage to keep UTE in the match. Ervin Moldován put the home side back up towards the end of the second stanza. Zsombor Molnár scored 19 seconds into the third period however UTE kept on fighting as they tried to get back into the match. David Coleman scored with under two minutes left but with the keeper pulled it was not enough as UTE ran out of time to score the equalizer.

FTC-Nové Zámky 4-5

If you were looking for an exciting back and forth hockey match on a Friday night then this was the place to be. The home team jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals by Artyom Vaszjunyin and Dávid Horváth. As the first period was all FTC the second was all Nové Zámky with a Michal Siska PPG being sandwiched between a Marek Uram and an Albin Podstavek equal strength goal. The third period started with the visitors up 3-2, Norbert Dancsfalvi pulled FTC back even and Andrea Linquist put them up with less than 10 minutes left on a PP. Newly acquired Martin Frolik scored his first goal in the Nové Zámky colors as he evened it up at 4-4. Siska scored his second of the match which ended up being the match winner.

Of course the action did not end with the last goal of the match as Jan Chovan, the visiting keeper ended up receiving a 25 minute game misconduct with 2 seconds left in the match.

Miskolc-Dab.Docler 2-5

After a scoreless first period Ákos Kiss gave DAB a 1-0 lead early in the first period, Jordan Knox tied up the game on a PPG. Tamás Gröschl put DAB back up by one on their own PPG. With Knox's second of the game the match was all tied up at two and this is where things became interesting.

Behind the DAB net Knox clobbered Peter Huba and was called for kneeing. Aas Huba limped off the ice Knox also got a game misconduct to go along with the minutes that he already had. Nikandrosz Galanisz and Zsolt Azari both scored PPGs and sunk the Miskolc chances of coming back into the match. As one last desperation move Miskolc pulled Dávid Gyenes but Balázs Ladányi had the empty netter.

Miskolc-Nové Zámky 6-5 OT

Dab.Docler-FTC 5-7

League leaders Dunaújváros were upset at home by FTC in a rather high scoring match!

The home side jumped out to an early two goal lead on goals by Ákos Kiss and Nikandrosz Galanisz. The visitors got back in the game on two goals as well in a very quick 18 second span with Csanád Fodor with the first and Antii Ojanen with the equalizer. 3:10 into the second period the Green Eagles were able to get their first lead of the game when Ákos Berta scored on a shorthanded goal.

The Fradi goal scoring machine really kicked in when Dávid Horváth scored to get a two goal cushion and 71 seconds later Artyom Vaszjunyin opened the lead to three. Henrich Jabornik got one back for the Steel Bulls and with under a minute left in the high scoring period Imre Peterdi beat Michal Meravy for the PPG and cut the FTC lead to one. Zsolt Azari scored early in the third to erase the three goal lead that the visitors had at one point, but DAB ran out of luck as FTC answered with Dávid Horváth powerplay goal. Zoltán Pál scored one more for good measure and to complete the upset.

Brasov-UTE 9-2

With the combination of Brasov wanting to get back on track after losing to FTC and Újpest being exhausted from the roadtrip and mentally from a tough loss the purple and white ran into a buzz saw on their second leg of the Transylvanian road trip.

Juha Heitamäki set up Csanád Virág for the early goal but UTE was able to respond on a David Coleman goal. UTE took an early 2-1 lead with Ádám Pichler scoring. This is where things got ugly as Brasov scored three unanswered goals before the period ended as Kevin Wehrs, Róbert Péter and Levente Zsók all scored.

Brasov tallied another three in the second, off the sticks of Virág, Petres and Zsolt Molnár. Josh Bonar and Roberto Gliga closed on the scoring in the third of the 9-2 romp.
