
FTC-Miskolc 5-8
The week kicked off with a high scoring match in Budapest where the home side jumped out to an early 2-0. Mikael Potila scored first with Ákos Berta getting the helper, less than a minute later Dávid Horváth doubled the lead with a power play goal. Miskolc was able to tie it up and then take a one goal lead into the first intermission as Tyler Metcalfe, Attila Rafaj and Jordan Knox all scored even strength goals.
Miskolc continued the raid on the FTC goal into the second period as Juraj Faith scored 42 seconds in the period and Adrán Toth had a shorthanded goal. The home team was finally able to score on a Csanád Fodor PPG early in the third to make it 5-3. Knox scored two more to complete the hat trick before the Green Eagles could score again. Norbert Fekecs scored the first of his season but Knox had his fourth goal of the season. Dusan Sijka scored to make it 8-5 in a game that Jordan Knox was on fire.
Nové Zámky-FTC 5-4 OT
The Green Eagles from Budapest traveled north to take on the Slovak team in the league.
Norbert Dancsfalvi had scored before the fans had bought their beers as FTC jumped out to a 1-0 lead 24 seconds in. The home team answered back with two goals in a one minute span as Pavel Kowalczyk scored an even strength and Matús Púchovsky a PPG. Albin Podstavek closed out the scoring for the home team in the first period.
Like the first period FTC scored less than a minute into play as Andeas Lindquist made it 3-2 on a PPG 51 seconds in. Jere Ölander evened things up at 3-3 with Gergely Géczi giving FTC the lead 39 seconds later. Erik Cadadi's goal made it 4-4, and the third period contained no goals.
Nové Zámky didn't waste too much time baging the win as Martin Král scored the game winner 28 seconds into overtime.
Miskolc-UTE 7-1
This match could be summed up as Miskolc domination.
The home team was a bit slow out of the gates but Vladimir Dubek scored at 7.52 with László Ritó socring as well. Tyler Metcalfe and Patrik Popovics both scored short handed goals in a span of 71 seconds in the first period!
The second period was almost the same as the first as Roland Hajós joined into the scoring, Metcalfe scored his second of the match and Balázs Láda finished out the scoring for the home team. Lőrinc Farkas scored the loan UTE goal 52 seconds into the third period.
Miskolc-Brasov 4-3
After taking care of Újpest it looked like Miskolc was stuck in the gates against Brasov. The visitors jumped out to a 1-0 on a Josh Bonar goal with Juha Hietämaki scoring the second goal of the period. Antal Zsombor made it 3-0 and Miskolc decided to switch goalkeeper Dávid Duschek for Dávid Gyenes 25.23. It looked like that was what the home team needed as Miskolc scored three unanswered goals in the period with Adrián Tóth and Attila Rafaj scoring even strength goals and Vladimir Dubek a shorthanded one.
After a scoreless third Patrik Popovics saved the Polar Bears bacon by scoring the winning goal with one minute left in OT.
