Getting into the lineup was Alexandra Huszák and Dorottya Medgyes, missing from today's lineup was Zsófia Jokai Szilágyi, Andrea Kiss, Lili Pintér and Anikó Németh. It didn’t take Hungary to take a 1-0 lead as Huszák scored on the first shift of the game, minutes later Tifani Horváth doubled the Hungarian lead. Poland came back to make it 2-1 but just over a minute later Rebeka Ungár put Hungary back up by two goals.
In the second period the score stayed the same until the midway point when Huszák scored her second of the game. At the halfway point of the game Hungary switched goalies as Vanessa Horváth came in for Renáta Poltzer, minutes later Kinga Jókai Szilágyi put Hungary up 5-1. Before the period was out Hungary had a 7-1 lead as Horváth scored her second of the game with Huszák completing her hat trick.
Medgyes scored a power play goal in the first minute of the third period to make it 8-1. Poland would end up scoring twice before the game was over to make it 8-3.
