Before the start of the U18 Division 1 world championship in Miskolc on Sunday, the Hungarian national team took on Denmark in an exhibition game.

Hungary-Denmark 4-2

“We played a great exhibition game against Denmark which helped us with the preparation for the world championships.” said Norbert Buzás

“The first period ended with Denmark leading, it was not smooth but we were able create some scoring chances” continued Buzás.

“We were able to flip the game in the second period when Zóra Gottlibet scored twice, we could have closed the door on the opponent, we had created a number of great scoring chances. The third period was a lot more balanced and we looked somewhat tired, but we were able to deal with this better than Denmark was able to”

Even though Denmark was able to tie the game up in the third, this was only for a short time.

“Hanna Pintér put Hungary back up on top and in the end Lotti Odnoga made it a two goal game.”

At the end of the game there was a shootout for fun, Ymi Maruyama saved three shots with Lotti Odnoga scoring once for Hungary and giving them the shootout win as well”
