
The U18 national team lost to Slovakia 6-1 on the opening day of the Four Nations Tournament in Debrecen.
The game started great for Hungary as they capitalized on their first power play as Anita Szűcs took a pass from Hanna Pintér and put it into the back of the cage. Hungary was able to hold on to the lead for 10 minutes when Petrasova tied it up for Slovakia, they took the lead on their first power play of the game when Mojzisova shot out the short side top corner from the faceoff dot. In the second period the shots were even but Slovakia scored more goals. Hajnikova, Mojzisova and Cornakov’ scored for Slovakia to go up 5-1. Hungary switched goalies for the final twenty minutes as Adrienn Paulheim came in for Yumi Maruyama. The score stayed 4-1 until the 49th minute of the game when Ágostonova scored the sixth and final Slovak goal.
