The women’s national team opened up camp on Friday for the upcoming world championships. They will face Poland on Saturday and Sunday in games that due to technical issues will be played behind closed doors in the Tüskesátor.
The women's national team will hold their training camp in the Tüskecsarnok, from the announced roster Dorottya Medgyes and Alexandra Huszák will only be joining the team later as they are playing abroad with Alexandra Gowie is still in the process of obtaining her citizenship.
The scheduled games on the 26th and the 27th have been moved to the Tüskesátor because of the Hungarian Cup Final 4. Since the Tüskesátor does not have the proper paperwork to host senior national team games, both matches against Poland will be behind closed doors. The twos had met up in Poland at the beginning of February with Hungary winning both games by the score of 3-1 and 3-0.
The team will have practice on Easter Monday and traveling to Cavalese where they will be from the 30th through April 2nd. They will be at the world championships sight on the 3rd in Asiago Italy with the tournament starting on the 4th and running through the 10th. Hungary will be facing Latvia, Holland, China, Kazakhstan and the host country Italy.
