Like the mens senior team, women's senior team is now set for their 4 Nations Tournament, which will be held this weekend in the Ice Palace in Budapest.
Tibor Marton and his staff have set the final roster for this weekends tournament against Slovakia, France and Denmark. The tournament will not be easy but it looks like Hungary will be going out with the best possible lineup. The line up is made up of 2 goalies 8 defencemen and 14 forwards.
Not making the final roster was goalies Yumi Maruyama and Ágnes Szigeti defencemen Kata Köles and forwards Szilvia Dettrich, Alex Gowie, Jelena Grkovic Kriszti Krivi and Lilien Szelényi. There were some injuries that players did not recover from that were also taken into account when the final roster was set.
“We had two rounds of cuts one Wednesday afternoon and the second Thursday afternoon. So for everything has been going smoothly we have been practicing and studying the system both on the ice and with presentations in the classrooms. There is a great atmosphere within the team as we are getting ready for a real challenge, we how we can play three great games. This tournament will be a great opportunity to really see where we are at since all three teams we are facing come from a higher level. We still have some practices left to get ready, and we hope the to give the fans something to cheer about who come out to visit us.” coach Norbert Búzás
