The final roster is set for the Division 1/A World Championships that will begin this Sunday in Krakow Poland.

The final 20+2 roster was set on Thursday for the world championships. The last defencemen cut was Attila Reiter and Zoltán Hetényi will be with the team as the emergency keeper. Hetényi will only be added to the actual roster if one of the two other goalies go down with an injury.

With regards to injuries the other final roster cuts were unfortunately due to injuries. Viktor Tokaji did not step on the ice at all during the training camp because of an ankle injury and Ladislav Sikorcin was left off the roster because of an ankle injury as well. István Bartalis got injured on the last practice before the trip, early reports are a torn ligament in the knee. Tokaji who would have been the team captain will be in Krakow as part of the staff.

However there is some good news Márton Vas had joined the team for Thursday’s practice as his season had ended with Löwen Frankfurt. János Vas will be missing the opening game against Japan but will be with the team for Monday’s game.

The team is leaving on Friday at 10:00 AM for Krakow and will have a practice on Saturday before noon, and the puck drops against Japan at 13:00 on Sunday.
