After beating Austria in a home and home series the Hungarian national team had a day off and will be back on the ice on Monday afternoon. János Hári will not be joining them after picking up a wrist injury.
Beating neighbors Austria in back to back games is always satisfying for Hungary, however the two games took its toll on the roster. János Hári sustained an injury during the very first period between the two teams on Friday and did not return after the first intermission and he sat out the game in Vienna. His hand has been put in a plaster cast for a week to give his wrist time to rest and heal.
"I bumped into someone at the beginning of the game and twisted my wrist, but played the whole period," said Hári. "I cannot do anything but wait for a week to see what's the problem exactly. Up until then I'll jump on the bike and work off ice."
Fortunately there are no other casualties in camp which will reopen on Monday afternoon.
Frank Banham, István Bartalis and Dániel Kóger joined the group at the morning skates during the weekend but there is no update regarding their status.
Csanád Erdély and János Vas are still with their club teams.
The next exhibition game against Slovenia, is due on Wednesday night in Budapest.
