Pre game skate before Finland

Hungary had an optional game day skate at 11:00 AM before their 20:15 face off against Finland arguably the second best team in the group.

Only part of the team was on the ice working on some drills, defensemen Zsombor Garát, Bence Stipsicz, Kevin Wehrs, Jesse Dudás and István Mestyán, forwards Bálint Magosi, Krisztián Nagy and all three goalies. Goalie coach Gary Clark worked with the goalies as Viktor Tokaji and Tamás Sille worked out the rest of the guys. The remaining players worked out in the gym with strength and conditioning coach Sándor Puskás.

Gergő Nagy: The atmosphere in teh lockerroom after the game was not that great, and it wasn't specifically because of the result but because of the way we played. We didn't exactly play the tactics that we had been practising the past weeks. We have a new game today and we can move on and play better. We want to stick the game plan what the coaches come up with for todays game.

András Benk: I try to always be communicating both on the bench and the ice, so that we stick to the game plan. I try to encourage everyone so that we play well. We played two games where we stuck to the game plan however the third game we didn't do this. In the first period we were able to do what the coaching staff asked and then we let the game slip away. We will need to be disciplined against Finland, as the can take advantage of any mistake that we make.

Balázs Sebők: Finland his coming with a very strong squad and we will need to stick to the tactics and play disciplined. After playing well against Canada maybe we thought that we are on the same level as the French team. We were disappointed after yesterday's game but we need to put this behind us and move on.
