Fehérvár AV19 won the EuroAszfalt-CCM Hungarian Cup, mostly because of Miklós Rajna's excellent performance in net. Therefore the netminder is our player of the weekend.

The number one goalie of the Hungarian national team was in stellar form over the weekend.

In the Cup semi final against MAC Budapest he finished with 32 saves out of 33 shots, and in the final against DVTK-Jegesmedvék he topped with a stunning 47/48 display.

This means he stopped 79 shots of the 81 he faced on Saturday and Sunday, easily making him the Most Valuable Player of the Cup weekend.

Finally this was a day for your team to be delighted with something...

Obviously we came here to make up for our bad league season and compensate our fans and the city. Everyone of us fought for 120 minutes and we're delighted with our win.

However, you were peppered with shots in the final!

Both of our opponents who faced over the weekend are good teams, they played full 60 minutes of hockey and created a lot of chances. They were both great games, everyone should be happy about it.

DVTK had powerplays - even a two-men advantage - at the end.

Yes, they had PPs which can happen in a hockey game, but our PK was excellent thorughout the final four.

...and your fanbase was right behind you.

Bearing in mind that we played on neutral gorund, they really did a great job as I felt if we were playing on home ice! The atmosphere was really nice, so I would like to thank them for it.
