After having a day and a half off after the win against Austria the Hungarian national team was back on the ice on Monday. Almost everyone was back on the ice from the injured players.
Frank Banham was back after missing a couple days because of draining his knee, with Dániel Kóger and István Bartalis wearing the same jersey as everyone else during the 100 minute practice. Aside from János Vas and Csanád Erdély who were still with their club teams János Hári is out with a wrist injury.
István Bartalis: "I didn't really work on the ice with the puck last week, it was conditioning work and skating every day, it is very different and very tiring when you have to work with the puck as well. There was some one on one and two on two which really has a toll on the body, the starting and stopping."
Dániel Kóger: "It felt great to be back on the ice but these are some hard practices and I need to get back my conditions. On some moves I can really feel it on my knee, the joint is basically healthy I just need to strengthen it and I hope to be back for both the Kazakh and Russian games."
Gary Clark: "The goaltending was good in both games, all four guys are competing for spots. Zoli played very well and I liked how aggressive he was. Ádám played well for the first time with the big boys, he has proven himself at the MOL League level and he has moved up step by step. Miki was very solid in Vienna as the game started slow for us but he kept the team in the game. Bence made a number of key saves after early on when he came in and personally I think he had a great game. They are making the coaches' decision very hard."
