Hári to miss the World Championships

The Hungarian national team was through another day of two practices, one player who was not on the ice was János Hári, who had his wrist X-rayed just to double check the injury. Unfortunately Hári will be missing the world championships.

Up until this morning there was a slim chance that János Hári would be at the world championships after picking up an injury during a 4-0 win over Austria. He will now have his wrist in a cast for about 10 weeks as the broken bone starts to heel.

“Yes I had an X-ray done but there is nothing new, I have a cast on it now. I don’t have my ticket yet but I will be flying back to Sweden later this week.

The goalies spent an extra 30 minutes on the ice on top of the 100 minutes this morning and the 90 minutes in the afternoon.

Tuesday the team will only be on the ice in the morning.

Bence Bálizs: Since we had the last round of cuts we have not had to do any sprints as we did before. Magosi is very skilled and he always scores during practice...against me :) The morning sessions are more concentrated on shooting drills, which is when us goalies have more to do. The afternoons are more tactics and systems.

Jesse Dudás: We are trying to get ready for the world championships and to get everyone on the same page, because of the level of play everything really needs to be structured and proper all the way. Kalvin and me get along real well both on and off the ice, which is a great help being able to pick up each other's tendencies which is ideal for a defensive pairing.

Balázs Sebők: We have take a step back off of the hard work, which is what we were doing the first couple of weeks. We like the practices better where the tactics are emphasized. This is the time for us to learn the tactics and the systems that we will be using during the world championships. The morning practice was a nice fast paced session, and the after noon we were implementing the systems. Our line has been coming along nicely, howvere i am a bit sad that János Hári will not be with us, he his not only my teammate but also we are also line mates and roommates as well as close friends. This is a part of hockey, now we will try to do teh best we can with what we have.
