The HC Presov U18 did not bring a weaker level of play as their junior mates did the day before. The Hungarian U17 came up on the short side 5-2 against the Presov squad.
Bendegúz Pinczés got the start in net with Botond Maros coming in at the halfway point. The game started well for the Hungarian team but they were not able to take the lead, Presov scored the opening goal at the 13 minute mark of the opening period and had a 2-0 lead with just under five minutes left in the period. The home team made it 3-0 on their first shift of the second period and had 4-0 lead by the 22 minute mark. After a goalless ten minutes Hungarian broke the shutout when Brúnó Kreisz found the back of the net. The score remained the same into the third period, halfway through the last period Hungary made it a two goal game when Kreisz scored the first powerplay goal of the game, however five minutes later Presov scored a powerplay goal of their own to set the final at 5-2.
“In the first two periods we had a lot of individual play and lapses in tactics. The team play was better in the third period and we fought harder. We need to improve on the team play in the future and also making the simple play in certain situations.” said assistant coach Szabolcs Fodor.
“The first couple shifts went well for everyone but the opponent took over the control of the game. The opened up a 4-0 lead and from there it was hard to come back. We started to come back but we picked up two penalties and from this they were able to make it 5-2, the speed was the difference between today's and yesterday's games” said Brúnó Kreisz
